About

A key part of AIC’s policy work is dedicated to sustainability. This area has seen considerable Member and stakeholder interest, and national and international policy development in recent years.

There are increasing pressures on all businesses to ensure their success is not built on the exploitation of the environment or society. AIC developed its first Roadmap for a Sustainable Food Chain in response to these challenges so that Members can build a more resilient future.

AIC's work identifies, assesses and communicates national and international issues which may impact the competitiveness of the UK agri-supply industry, and which could affect the long-term sustainability of UK farming and food production.
