Following EU Exit, Defra is transitioning from the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to its own Environmental Land Management Schemes.
Under the schemes – the Sustainable Farming Incentive, Countryside Stewardship and Landscape Recovery and associated grant funding streams – farmers will be paid to provide environmental goods and services, alongside food production.
AIC plays an important role in ensuring that production remains a key part of Defra's approach in developing its schemes.
