Following the announcement on the 21st September that the UK Coronavirus Alert Level had been increased from three to four, AIC in consultation with the audit and certification bodies has decided to pause on site audits across all schemes with immediate effect until further notice.
AIC has received confirmation from the Environment Agency (EA) that all feed mills in scope of the Industrial Emissions Directive will still need to comply with the associated legally binding Best Available Techniques (BAT (page 76-78 for animal feed) by the 4 th December 2023 - regardless of any delay in the EA’s start of the Permit review process. The date is set in the legislation and therefore will not change.
