Committees and Working Groups

Responsibilities are to agree policy, to offer strategic direction to the Confederation and to other committees within the sector and to co-ordinate cross sector liaison with other relevant associations/bodies.

Responsible for considering issues relating to feed material supply and availability, transportation, and market conditions, and for making recommendations on these matters to the Feed Executive Committee (FEC)

Deliver the credible implementation of FEMAS to meet the objectives set by the AIC Feed & Food Assurance Steering Group.

Responsible for considering issues relating to the fish livestock market, in particular legislation relating to the fish market, fish feed material supply and availability and market conditions, and for making recommendations on these matters to the FEC.

Responsible for considering issues relating to feed additives, functional feed materials, premixtures and complementary mineral feeds used in animal nutrition and for making recommendations to the Feed Executive Committee. 

Develop and maintain all aspects of UFAS (including Certification and Standards), in conjunction with AIC Services.

Responsible for considering issues relating to sustainable animal feed.

Represents the business interests of members in the feed sector and is responsible for addressing health and safety issues related to feed mills.

Represents the business interests of members who, based in the UK, manufacture and market game feeds to game farming and shooting industries.

Initiated by the UK Feed industry in conjunction with AIC to provide a forum for the formulation of a feed industry position on matters relating to environmental regulatory and policy issues related to the manufacture of animal feed.
