AIC Shortlisted for Research Institute of the Year at 2025 edie Net-Zero Awards

Net Zero

The AIC has been shortlisted for the Research Institute of the Year category at the 2025 edie Net-Zero Awards, the UK’s only industry-wide awards programme recognising those leading the transition to a net-zero carbon economy.

This recognition highlights the impact of AIC’s "Agri-supply: An Action Plan for Sustainable Efficiency", which provides clarity to Members and confidence to stakeholders. Building on AIC's 2020 report, "Agri-supply roadmap for a sustainable food chain", the plan supports agri-supply businesses in embedding sustainability into their operations, economically, environmentally, and socially.

It outlines practical actions for Members, from adopting sustainability metrics and circular practices to sharing data and supporting innovation, while also advocating for systemic change through policy alignment and investment in rural infrastructure - demonstrating how the agricultural input sector is actively contributing to the UK’s climate goals.

“We are delighted that AIC’s Sustainability Action Plan has been shortlisted for the 2025 edie Net-Zero Awards, providing recognition of the work that our Members are doing for sustainability and transitioning towards net-zero,” said Vicky Robinson, Head of Sustainability and co-author of the Sustainability Action Plan.

“Our Sustainability Action Plan reflects the collective ambition of our members to drive meaningful change and ensure the agricultural sector plays a leading role in the UK’s net-zero journey. Given the wide range of businesses, organisations and sectors represented at the awards, it is great to see the agricultural input sector represented.”

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 17 October in London.
