This year's AIC Dinner and Conference is set to feature a range of thought leaders from politics, business, academia and trade to explore this year’s theme of "Delivering for the Agri-Food Supply Chain in an Ever-Changing World". The Conference Dinner will take place at the Holiday Inn West, Peterborough. The Dinner will formally mark the start of the AIC Conference. The AIC Conference will be held at the same venue throughout the following day. Further announcements about the speakers programme will be made in the coming weeks.

Marking the formal opening of AIC’s Conference, the Dinner is a black tie event open to Members, industry stakeholders, and the trade. Like the Conference, it will be held at the Holiday Inn West, Peterborough.

Delivering for the Agri-Food Supply Chain in a Changing World
This year’s conference will consider some of the key changes that are, and will continue to, impact the agri‑supply chain, and what opportunities and challenges these present for both our Members and stakeholders. A new “AIC Careers Booklet” will also be launched for the agri-supply industry.
We live in a world of continuous change, and businesses need to adapt and evolve to take on these new challenges. Without detailed knowledge of these changes and their likely impact, businesses may be blindsided, which could adversely affect their organisation.
The AIC Dinner will take place on the evening of 10 November and is an excellent opportunity to network with agri‑supply companies, stakeholders and the AIC Executive. Discussions can take place informally, while enjoying the company of colleagues, both new and existing.
This is followed by the AIC Conference on 11 November, with an agenda that is packed with thought leaders who will present on issues that will impact your business.
The programme will start with leading political representatives in the areas of agriculture, food and rural affairs from across the UK. A question-and-answer session is also planned, allowing issues to be addressed directly by a panel of ministers.
Following this, the impact of macroeconomic and geopolitical issues will be presented, covering both domestic and global matters and how these affect the agri‑supply chain and the farming sector. A panel of EU trade bodies has also been convened to discuss the opportunities and challenges of the new Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) agreement for the UK and beyond.
Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) drugs are having a significant impact on UK diets, which will translate into changes across the agri‑supply chain. A panel of experts has been convened to address these issues and will also provide future trends and an outlook for the agri‑supply chain.
The conference will continue with the launch of the NEW AIC Careers Booklet and also have a leading speaker who will be considering some of the challenges and opportunities with intergenerational working. Finally the conference will conclude will detail highlighting the success story of a UK company that has created a niche for domestic production and export of Wagyu beef.
