AHDB to Share Initial Findings from Environment Baselining Pilot
Members may be interested in an upcoming webinar from the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), which will share the provisional findings from its Environment Baselining Pilot.
The webinar will take place on Thursday 16 July 2026, from 11:00 to 12:00, and will explore what the early results from the first 170 farms across Great Britain reveal about emissions, soil carbon and wider environmental measures.
The webinar will provide an overview of the initial findings, including where variation exists between farms and what the results could mean for farm businesses. Participants will hear directly from those involved in delivering the project and analysing the data.
The Environment Baselining Pilot is a five-year project involving 178 farms across the beef, lamb, cereals and oilseeds, dairy and pork sectors. It aims to develop a robust baseline of environmental data to improve understanding of greenhouse gas emissions, carbon stocks and broader environmental performance on farm.
The webinar may be of interest to those who participated in the pilot, those considering environmental baselining, or anyone interested in understanding the environmental performance of agricultural systems.
