Agri-supply roadmap for a sustainable food chain
A key part of AIC’s policy work is dedicated to sustainability. This area has seen considerable Member and stakeholder interest, and national and international policy development in recent years.
There are increasing pressures on all businesses to ensure their success is not built on the exploitation of the environment or society. AIC developed its first Roadmap for a Sustainable Food Chain in response to these challenges so that Members can build a more resilient future.
AIC's work identifies, assesses and communicates national and international issues which may impact the competitiveness of the UK agri-supply industry, and which could affect the long-term sustainability of UK farming and food production.

AIC Services has launched a consultation on its draft Sustainability Programme Standard, Pillar 1 – Deforestation and Land Conversion. Closing 4 October 2023.
AIC's Sustainability Liaison Group aims to ensure that there is a joined-up approach to the provision of potential support and services in pursuit of the ambitions laid out in the AIC Roadmap for a Sustainable Food Chain.
