Upcoming Farmers Guardian Webinar – "EU Reset & SPS Agreement: What It Means for Farming"
Ed Barker, AIC’s Head of Policy & External Affairs, will join an expert panel for a Farmers Guardian webinar exploring the impact of the Government's EU reset and proposals for a comprehensive Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) agreement between the UK and EU, and what it means for the agricultural sectors.
The webinar, hosted in partnership with CropLife UK, will take place on Tuesday, 25 November 2025 at 19:00, and registration is free.
The discussion will focus on how the SPS agreement could reduce non-tariff barriers, cut paperwork, and remove routine checks on animal and plant products, making trade between the UK and EU more efficient. These changes are expected to have significant impacts on farming and agri-supply businesses.
Joining Ed on the panel are John Clarke, former Head of the EU Delegation to the World Trade Organisation, and Dave Bench, CEO of CropLife UK. Together, they will provide insight into what these developments mean for UK agriculture and supply chains.
