Spring/Summer 2025 Edition of UFAS Update Newsletter - Out Now

The spring/summer 2025 edition of the UFAS Update - the newsletter of the Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS) - is now available to download.

In this issue:

  • UFAS 2024 Version 1.1 published – key clarification on delivery signatures
A revised version of the UFAS Standard has been released to correct minor errors in Version 1. The most significant change is the removal of a sentence in clause G 19.2 that previously required signatures for all bulk feed deliveries – a requirement that was never part of the original UFAS standard.
New interpretation guidance has also been added to clarify the importance of linking delivery records to customer requirements where specified.

  • New GB Salmonella Code published
An updated code has been released to support consistent and effective Salmonella control across Great Britain.

  • AIC’s Trade Assurance Checker now available on iOS and Android
Members can now access the tool on mobile devices, making it easier to verify assurance status on the go.

  • UFAS, TASCC, and FEMAS schemes reviewed for consistency; new standards due 2027
All three schemes have undergone a consistency review. New standards are expected to be introduced in 2027.
