AIC welcomes the launch of the industry-led Beef and Lamb Environmental Roadmap, facilitated by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), which provides an important framework for the sector.

On 7 July 2026, the European Commission published two linked initiatives: the EU Protein Action Plan and the first-ever EU Livestock Strategy. Together, they are intended to strengthen the resilience of European Union (EU) agriculture, improve food security and reduce reliance on imported feed proteins.

AIC has received Member queries regarding the storage classification of 27-10 / 27N + 10SO₃ fertilisers under the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH).
