Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) in England, Scotland and Wales Lifted

The Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) for poultry and captive birds in England, Wales and Scotland has been lifted from noon on 4 June 2026.

Strict biosecurity is still vital to protect the health and welfare of your birds.

All bird keepers should continue to take steps to prevent bird flu and stop it spreading at all times and be vigilant for signs of disease.

Please continue to follow the biosecurity and hygiene guidance available at:

If you suspect bird flu in poultry or other captive birds, you must report it immediately.
