Delays at UK air and maritime ports caused by a Border Force staff strike are set to affect AIC Members and scheme Participants importing goods and materials this week.

The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union has announced Civil Service industrial action, which includes Border Force operations and threatens to cause widespread disruption to supply chains.

Hauliers moving goods internationally are being told to expect disruption and longer queues at ports and inland border facilities. The proposed strike action will impact international arrivals at all UK air and maritime ports, as well as those travelling to the UK from UK border controls in Calais, Dunkirk and Coquelles in Northern France.

The industrial action will take place on Wednesday, 15 March, and Thursday, 16 March until around 7am.
