AIC Key Industry Meetings Week 2 - February 2026

The AIC team continues to work closely with industry and stakeholders. Below is a summary of some key meetings and events scheduled for the coming week:

• Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) Crop Protection & Agronomy Sector Communications Group

• Supporting the Mind Your Head campaign, running from 9–13 February 2026 

• Crop Protection & Agronomy Sector meeting with CropLife UK

• Meeting with agricultural representatives from the German Embassy to the United Kingdom

• Attendance at a Conservative Environment Network roundtable

• Economist Impact – Future of Food Summit 2026: As part of the Economist Impact Future of Food Summit 2026, taking place on 10 February 2026, Ed Barker, AIC’s Head of Policy and External Affairs, will chair an engaging fireside chat exploring gene editing and its implications for UK agriculture

• Lincolnshire Farming Conference 2026: On Thursday 12 February 2026, Ed Barker, AIC’s Head of Policy and External Affairs, will speak at the Lincolnshire Farming Conference, held at the Lincolnshire Showground

• Participation in a Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) political engagement visit with current and prospective Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) at a mixed livestock and arable farm in the Scottish Borders
