The Feed Adviser Register (FAR), in partnership with the Forage Analysis Assurance (FAA) Group will be exhibiting at UK Dairy Day 2025.

  • Stand: F28

  • Date: Wednesday, 10 September 2025

  • Venue: The International Centre, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 4JH

FAR, a service provided by the Agricultural Industries Confederation, and the FAA Group members provide professional nutritional advice and deliver assured analytical services, supporting modern, sustainable, commercial agriculture.

FAR is a professional register of qualified advisers offering nutritional advice to livestock farmers. With strict entry criteria based upon training and experience Advisers must complete core training and competency tests to become full members of the Register. Membership is renewed annually requiring ongoing professional development.

Over 1,000 advisers across the UK provide guidance for dairy, beef, sheep, pigs and poultry farmers. FAR advisers, farmers, and nutritionists rely on regular nutritional analysis of feed materials, especially forage from grass, whole crop, or maize silage, which are among the most economical feeds for ruminants such as dairy and beef.

FAA Group members participate in a regular silage proficiency testing program to ensure the quality and consistency of the analysis they report to their customers. Silages are naturally variable materials and can be challenging to analyse accurately. Using FAA Group laboratories gives both farmers and their feed advisers confidence in the results and feeding plans. While the FAA Group operates independently, its management is supported by the Agricultural Industries Confederation.

UK Dairy Day is the UK’s leading free-to-attend dairy industry event. It brings together farmers, advisers, policymakers, and the wider agri-supply chain for a one-day showcase featuring national cattle shows, expert-led seminars, practical demonstrations, innovation zones, and a trade exhibition with over 300 stands.
