UKFFPA Committee appoints John Knight as Chair

John Knight has held numerous positions during his career with the Agricultural supply industry. He started his career as a cattle specialist with Jas Wyllie & Sons, of the Cooperative Wholesale Society, based in South-West Scotland.

When Dalgety purchased the business quite soon after, John became Commercial Manager for Southern Scotland purchasing raw materials, trading grain and selling fertilizer before becoming Regional Raw Material Manager for the mid-west region based at the Aston Feed Mill in Cheshire.

In 1999 John took the opportunity to manage Roper Foods, a small former food processor, before joining AB Nutrition Ltd who trade in raw materials to and finished products from businesses operating in the former foods processing sector.

John is currently Technical and Compliance Director for SUGARICH.

John aims to:

• build on the many advances we have made towards product safety, quality and consistency
• drive towards sustainable manufacturing by increasing efficiency
• enhance the understanding of our suppliers and customers to promote growth whilst further reducing waste
