Non-Business Days: Christmas & New Year 2021

AIC is empowered in all AIC Contracts to declare, where necessary, additional non-business days other than Saturdays, Sundays and officially recognised UK national holidays, for the purpose of passing notices and claims. This does not affect deliveries.

As far as the 2021 Christmas and New Year period is concerned the Contracts and Arbitration Committee, at its recent meeting, has determined that the non business days will be Monday 27th December and Tuesday 28th December (after Christmas) and the Monday 3rd January (after New Year).

As per the wording of our Non Business Days clause, “Saturdays, Sundays and the officially recognised and/or legal holidays of the respective countries…shall be non business days

Jo Gilbertson is AIC’s Head of Fertiliser and is based at our Head Office in Peterborough.

Jo is responsible for the management and co-ordination of all matters relating to the production and distribution of fertilisers on behalf of Members.

Graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health, he has additional post graduate qualifications in air pollution control, health and safety, advanced negotiation skills, and quality assurance management.

Jo has previously worked in local government as an environmental health officer, before spending 17 years in senior management roles in Tesco, handling legal and governmental affairs, and latterly managing a business unit in their corporate marketing department.
