Job Vacancy: AIC Scotland Policy Manager

Attractive remuneration package

Are you interested in influencing policy to create a productive and sustainable agri-food supply chain?

We are seeking a driven and dynamic Policy Manager for AIC Scotland to represent our Member businesses and play a leading role in influencing Scottish agricultural policy.

This is a full‑time, home‑based role, with three days per week focused on Scotland‑specific policy work and two days per week supporting UK‑wide policy activity.

In this role, you will take the lead on developing and advancing AIC Scotland’s policy positions to support a productive and sustainable Scottish agriculture sector. You will engage closely with AIC Members, policymakers and stakeholders, representing AIC Scotland in key discussions and providing expert insight into food and feed supply chains.

The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Scottish Government and a range of agencies such as Food Standards Scotland, to ensure Members’ interests are effectively reflected in policy development and regulatory discussions.

Reporting to AIC’s Chief Executive, and working closely with the AIC Head of Policy and External Affairs and relevant AIC sector heads, the role is a key part of our team of policy experts. It ensures the sector’s voice is heard in policy development, regulatory consultations and industry‑wide initiatives, while supporting Members through technical guidance, political lobbying and clear communication.

Across all responsibilities, adding value for Members is the guiding principle, with every action focused on serving their interests and strengthening their businesses.
