The AIC Future Forum attended the National Apprenticeship & Education Event – Skills Scotland on 3 September at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, helping young people explore the wide range of career opportunities available across the agricultural supply industry.

Throughout the day, Future Forum members spoke with students, parents and educators about apprenticeships, graduate opportunities and the diverse careers that support the UK food supply chain. The event brought together employers, training providers, universities and thousands of visitors seeking information on future education and employment pathways.

Established in 2020, the AIC Future Forum is a group of younger professionals working across the agri-supply industry. The Forum aims to raise awareness of careers in the sector, support the next generation of talent and challenge common misconceptions about agriculture.

AIC would like to thank the Future Forum members who gave their time to attend the event, share their experiences and engage with young people considering career options. Their enthusiasm and insights helped showcase the breadth of opportunities available across the agricultural supply chain.

The Future Forum continues to support careers outreach activities across the UK, encouraging more people to consider rewarding careers in an industry that plays a vital role in feeding the nation.
