The UK Dairy Carbon Network Open Farm Events
The UK Dairy Carbon Network is launching its first open meetings for dairy farmers through practical on-farm events. Hosted on participating farms, the sessions showcase ways to improve efficiency and profitability while cutting greenhouse gases, focusing on slurry and soils, youngstock rearing and silage, with real-world demonstrations on farms.
Thursday, 26 February 2026 – Squeezing value from slurry and soils
Mason House Farm, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 3DD
This meeting will focus on understanding how the value of slurry and manure can be maximised by understanding soil conditions, nutrient availability and application timing. Through practical demonstrations, farmers will see how improving soil health can increase forage production, reduce fertiliser costs and support lower emissions.
