OECD COP30 Webinar to Spotlight Carbon Footprint Measurement in Agri-Food

On Tuesday, 4 November, from 11:30 to 13:00 (Paris time), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will be hosting a COP30 webinar titled Measuring Carbon Footprints of Agri-Food Products. The session is part of the OECD’s Virtual Pavilion, a series of events and webinars leading up to the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30).

The webinar will explore the current landscape and future direction of carbon footprint measurement across agri-food supply chains. Attendees will hear from a diverse panel of experts:

  • Tom Holden of Mondra, who will be talking about using AI to scale up carbon footprint calculations in agri-food supply chains
  • Lucia Pitarch Mampel of the Permanent Delegation of Spain to the OECD, who will be talking about how Spain is calculating farm-level emissions using the ECOGAN tool
  • Macaulay Jones of the World Farmers Organisation, who will be joining us live from Belém where he is representing farmers at COP30
  • Anna Flysjö of Arla, who will be talking about Arla’s efforts as well as her work with the International Dairy Federation to streamline carbon footprint reporting
  • Laura Nobel of the Global Feed LCA Institute who will be talking about the animal feed industry’s efforts to create a harmonized method and database for carbon footprints and other environmental impacts of feed ingredients
