Misuse of TASCC ID and Trailer Numbers

2022-0018

It has been brought to the attention of AIC that some legitimate TASCC certified Hauliers have had their TASCC certification number and trailer identification used fraudulently by non-TASCC certified operators.

Please be extra vigilant and do not load or unload vehicles that are not displaying any identification numbers.

When goods are being collected or delivered please check that the number is visible on the vehicle and that details match on the delivery/collection notes.  If necessary please check on the AIC Assurance Checker  https://www.aictradeassurance.org.uk/assurance-checker/?company=&postcode=&reference=&keyword=

If any details do not match, if the vehicle ID is not displayed on the trailer or you have any suspicions please do not hesitate to query and report the issue in writing to Kiwa at [email protected]  or by telephone 01423 878873.  If you can obtain the chassis number Kiwa can confirm the validity of the vehicle.

If you are aware of any operators who may be wrongly claiming to be TASCC certified or are using certified Participants numbers fraudulently please report it immediately to Kiwa at [email protected] / 01423 878873.
