This week, the AIC’s Head of Policy and External Affairs appeared on the Farmers Weekly podcast to explain the current challenges being faced by AIC members as a result of the UK’s exit from the EU, and what it means for agricultural supply businesses. Underlining the need for urgent resolution to equivalence on seed and feed materials with products of animal origin, he stated that Northern Irish and EU based customers were facing considerable difficulties in the receiving products on farm. He added that both the UK and EU need to address such issues together to reach a mutually beneficial outcome that reflects the integrated nature of the trade.
