LANTRA (HSE) Agriculture Health and Safety Module: How to Meet Your Legal Responsibilities (affiliated)

In 2020-21, 41 people were killed in agriculture and around 12,000 serious injuries were reported. Every death and injury has devastating and life-changing consequences for individuals, families, businesses, and communities, and nearly all of them are avoidable.

To help address persistently high rates of death and serious injury, Lantra has worked with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to develop training that will be affordable and accessible to every farmer. Our new Farm Safety e-learning course focuses on the most common causes of farm accidents, including: Falls from Height, Falling Objects, Livestock, Vehicles, Children, Electricity and, Drowning and Asphyxiation.

If you control or manage a farm, you are legally responsible for your safety and that of your employees, contractors, visitors, and anyone affected by your work.

The course is also effective for anybody who works on or around UK farms and farming.

The LANTRA (HSE) Agriculture Health and Safety Module: How to Meet Your Legal Responsibilities (affiliated) normally costs £20 but is available to AIC members at a discounted rate of £18.
