Companies transporting dangerous goods are being encouraged to sign up for a free webinar to help them prepare for upcoming rule changes.

From 1 January 2023, consignor-only companies will no longer be exempt under ADR from the requirement to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA).

The requirement will now apply to merchants and transport agents involved in consigning dangerous goods movements.

The British Association of Dangerous Goods Professionals (BADGP) is hosting a free, open-access webinar on Wednesday, 2nd November 2022 at 1pm to explain the ADR requirement and how it will apply to the various types of consignors which need to comply and confirm the services of a DGSA by 31st December 2022.

Senior BADGP members will outline the requirement and share examples of the types of consignor which will and will not require the services of a DGSA.

A representative from the Department of Transport will be present to share guidance, and members will also have ample opportunity to get their questions answered.

For further details and to register for the webinar, visit the BADGP website.
