AIC Member businesses producing products in the UK for export are being encouraged to enter a new awards programme aimed at celebrating the success of trading internationally in the agricultural sector.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) has launched the UK-wide export awards initiative - called "Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards" - to recognise UK businesses seeing international achievements, highlight success stories, and encourage greater exporting among Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Awards categories include agriculture, food and drink, as well as manufacturing, consumer goods, and professional services.

The Awards are now open and free to enter, giving businesses until 23 February 2023 to apply.

How to enter

Businesses can submit their entries, and find full entry guidance and terms and conditions on the GOV.UK website.

Winners will receive a certificate, digital badge accreditation, promotional activity organised by DIT, and a "high-profile visit" from a DIT representative.

Each category will be judged by a panel comprised of a DIT sector lead, a DIT communications lead, and Institute of Export's Director General Marco Forgione as an independent panellist.
