Defra to Host Drop-In Sessions at Groundswell 2026

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) will be hosting a series of drop-in sessions at Groundswell on 1–2 July, providing an opportunity for farmers, advisers and businesses to discuss a range of current policy and technical topics with specialists.

Sessions will cover:

  • Biostimulant technologies and the regulatory landscape.

  • The proposed UK-EU Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Agreement and potential implications for businesses involved in food, feed, plants and related products.

  • Landscape Recovery and its role within Environmental Land Management (ELM) schemes.

  • Defra's ADOPT Fund, which supports farmer-led innovation and on-farm trials.

A Farmer Collaboration and Facilitation Hub will also be available at stand D0, where representatives from Defra, Catchment Sensitive Farming, the Forestry Commission, the Environment Agency and Natural England will be available to answer questions.

All sessions are free to attend and no booking is required.

Full agenda of sessions can be accessed via GOV.UK
