COCERAL June 2025 Crop Forecast
The latest forecast from the Committee for the Trade in Cereals, Animal Feed, Oilseeds, Olive Oil, Oils and Fats, and Agrosupply (COCERAL), the European association for grain trade, sees the total grain crop in the EU-27+UK at 300.7 million tonnes, up from 279.6 million tonnes in 2024 and higher than the 296.1 million tonnes predicted in March.

Here’s a quick look at the key crops:
- Wheat (excluding durum): Forecast at 143.1 million tonnes, boosted by favourable weather conditions in southeastern Europe, Spain, and France.
- Barley: Expected to reach 59.2 million tonnes, slightly up from earlier estimates and last year’s total.
- Corn: Predicted at 60.6 million tonnes, a bit lower than March’s forecast due to reduced planting and a shift to sunseed.
- Rapeseed: Set to recover to 20.0 million tonnes, mainly because of a return to a normal planting pattern in Romania and Bulgaria and a recovery in yields in France and Germany.

The Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC), which represents the UK’s agri-supply industry, is a proud member of COCERAL and plays an active role in contributing to these forecasts.
