AIC Key Industry Meetings Week 4 - October 2025

AIC’s team are constantly engaging with industry and stakeholders, the following list highlights some of this coming week’s key meetings.  

  • Meeting with Dave Bench (Chief Executive) and Dr Darren Mingo (Head of Regulatory Affairs), CropLife UK

  • Attendance at European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Webinar on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)

    • To understand the EU-wide restriction proposal on PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), including socio-economic impacts and alternatives. 

  • Online Meeting: Scotland Voluntary Initiative (VI)

    • To share best practice in responsible pesticide use, and support AIC Scotland Members in meeting stewardship standards.

  • Meeting with Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD)  Fertiliser Workstream

    • To discuss fertiliser practices and sustainability matters, ensuring cross-sector collaboration.

  • Attendance at Borderway Agri Expo, Carlisle

    • A major UK livestock showcase focusing on profitability, sustainability, and innovation in farming. Includes seminars, breed competitions, and industry debates. 

  • Plant Health Advisory Forum Participation

  • Bilateral Meeting with National Farmers' Union (NFU)

  •  Young National Pig Association (YNPA) Annual Conference – London

    • To engage with next-generation producers to understand future needs and build long-term Member relevance.

  • Bilateral Meeting with Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB)

  • Attendance at Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) Feed Sector Health and Safety (H&S) Forum

    • Driving continuous improvement in workplace safety. Members benefit from shared learnings and regulatory updates.

  • Transport Review Group Meeting – Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC)

    • Ensuring transport standards reflect Member realities. Opportunity to influence scheme development and audit practices.

  • Attendance at Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) Feed Sustainability Committee
