AIC Key Industry Meetings Week 4 - January 2025

The AIC team continues to work closely with industry and stakeholders. Below is a summary of some key meetings and events scheduled for the coming week:

  • Oilseed Rape (OSR) Reboot Meeting with Industry Stakeholders

  • Briefing with Industry Stakeholders on the Andersons Report Commissioned by CropLife UK on the Impacts of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Agreement

  • The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) Farming and Countryside Programme Stakeholder Workshop – Farming 2050: Growing England’s Future on the 25‑Year Farming Roadmap

  • Feed Materials Assurance Scheme (FEMAS) Working Group

  • Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) Technical Managers Meeting

  • City & Guilds Employer Industry Board (EIB) to provide industry insight and direction for qualification development.

  • Red Tractor Technical Advisory Committee

  • Mutual Recognition Meeting with Qualimat (French Feed Assurance Organisation)

  • Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) Joint Scheme Development – Storage Subgroup Meeting

  • Scottish Quality Crops (SQC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and January Board Meeting

  • Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) Climate & Nature Leadership Group – January Meeting

  • Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers in Scotland (IAAS) Centenary Celebration Dinner - attending in recognition of the IAAS Executive Director’s role as chair of the Farming Advisory and Support Team (FAST), of which AIC Scotland is a member working jointly to lobby and liaise with the Scottish Government.

  • Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) Feed Material Supply Committee

  • The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) Methane Suppressing Feed Products Roundtable 

  • Meeting with Saputo Dairy UK (formerly Dairy Crest) on the AIC Sustainable Commodities Scheme (ASCS).
