AIC Key Industry Meetings Week 3 - February 2026

The Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) team continues to work closely with industry and stakeholders. Below is a summary of some key meetings and events scheduled for the coming week:

  • AIC Head of Crop Protection and Agronomy, Hazel Doonan, speaking at the British Beet Research Organisation (BBRO) Weed Control Seminar 2026 on “EU reset: What are the implications for the sugar beet crop?”

  • Stakeholder discussion on the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) Survey of Crop Pests and Diseases

  • Euroseeds EU–UK Task Force meeting

  • Bilateral meeting between the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) and the AIC

  • The European Compound Feed Manufacturers’ Federation (FEFAC) Organic Working Group focused on the omnibus simplification package affecting EU feed legislation.

  • The European Compound Feed Manufacturers’ Federation (FEFAC) Directors’ College to review strategic implications of the omnibus simplification package for EU feed law.

  • The European Compound Feed Manufacturers’ Federation (FEFAC) Feed Additives Task Force to examine proposed changes under the omnibus simplification package and their operational impacts.

  • Red Tractor Crops and Sugar Beet Board – Extra Time Meeting

  • Renewable Energy Directive (RED) Voluntary Schemes MeetingMutual Recognition meeting with the French scheme, Qualimat

  • AIC Joint Scheme Development meeting

  • Food Standards Agency (FSA) – Future of Food Regulation Meeting.

    • AIC has been invited to join a discussion between the FSA and food industry bodies to share experiences of gaining earned recognition for the Feed Materials Assurance Scheme (FEMAS), the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC) and the Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS).
