AIC Key Industry Meetings Week 1 - November 2025

AIC’s team are constantly engaging with industry and stakeholders, the following list highlights some of this coming week’s key meetings.  

  • Meeting with the European Commission

  • Meeting with Labour MPs in Westminster to discuss the European Union–United Kingdom Sanitary and Phytosanitary (EU–UK SPS) Agreement.

  • Meeting with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) Wales and the Welsh Food Advisory Committee (WFAC), focused on animal feed policy and controls. A key opportunity to highlight feed sector priorities to WFAC members who advise the Welsh Government.

  • All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Science and Technology in Agriculture Launch of the 30:50:50 report to Members of Parliament. AIC is a member of the APPG alongside other organisations.

  • Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) Meeting: Addressing Water Pollution from Agriculture - ongoing input into review and future direction of these key regulations.

  • Regular Catch-Up with the National Farmers Union (NFU) Environment Team to exchange knowledge on environmental topics to identify collaboration opportunities.

  • Regular Catch-Up with the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) to share insights on their work, to support informed decisions for AIC Members and identify engagement opportunities.

  • Responsible Use of Medicines in Agriculture Alliance (RUMA) Webinar – Opportunities & Challenges Influencing the Responsible Use of Antibiotics.

  • Monthly International Database for Transport of Feed (IDTF) Committee Meeting

  • Organic Feed Working Group with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) Organics team attending

  • Joint AIC Assurance Scheme Development Session

  • Red Tractor Sector Board – Shadow on-farm assessment.

  • AIC Annual Fertiliser Sector Dinner

  • Industry Roundtable discussion with MPs on sustainable aviation fuel.

  • Attending United Oilseeds Corporate and Press Day

  • Farmers Club Lecture – Delivered by Peter Craven.

  • Millers’ Association of Great Britain (MAGB) Annual Luncheon

  • British Crop Production Council (BCPC) Congress

    • On the first day, Robert Sheasby, AIC Chief Executive, will speak on ‘The opportunities for UK production and the backdrop of global patterns of trade’.

    • On day two, Hazel Doonan, Head of Crop Protection and Agronomy, will chair the morning session, which will explore key issues shaping the future of crop protection and the use of plant protection products (PPPs).
