AIC Head of Fertiliser Jo Gilbertson Gives Evidence to EFRA Committee

On Tuesday 21 April, AIC Head of Fertiliser Jo Gilbertson will give oral evidence to the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee as part of its Fairness in the food supply chain inquiry, which is examining fair trading relationships and the protection of British suppliers.

The session will explore pressures across the food and farming supply chain, including the impact of geopolitical events on input costs such as fertiliser and fuel, and the implications for fairness between farmers, suppliers and retailers.

MPs will also consider the role and effectiveness of the Groceries Code Adjudicator (GCA) and the Agricultural Supply Chain Adjudicator (ASCA).

Jo will be giving evidence alongside representatives from the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) and the British Retail Consortium (BRC), as well as the GCA and ASCA.

Further details about the session, including how to watch the meeting are available here.
