F19-019 Update from DEFRA on IPAFFS and planned improvements 27 Mar 2019

AIC has today received the following update from Defra: | As you will be aware, the date the UK leaves the EU in a No-Deal scenario has changed to 12 April.

F19-018 New information from Defra on Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System (IPAFFS) 22 Mar 2019

AIC have received new updates from Defra on the new Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System (IPAFFS) which is to replace TRACES in the event the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

F19-017 FEMAS 2019 - New guidance published 18 Mar 2019

A new page has been added to the AIC Trade Assurance website including the new FEMAS 2019 Standard as well as documents explaining the key changes to content and structure. The new page can be found here .

F19-016 Tariff rates applicable to Prepared Animal Fodder in the event of No Deal EU Exit 13 Mar 2019

Further to Member Briefing BR19-010, the tariff rates applicable to imported prepared animal fodder have been published, in the event of the UK leaving the EU with no deal.

F19-015 Unauthorised use of FAMI-QS logo 01 Mar 2019

AIC has been informed by colleagues at FAMI-QS (a feed ingredient scheme with whom AIC have a mutual recognition agreement) that they have become aware of a non-certified company using their logo. The details are in the attached document, and buyers of feed ingredients are reminded to check the status of suppliers via the scheme owners' websites, and not rely on copies of certificates, labels or other marketing material.

F19-014 FEMAS 2019 Published 26 Feb 2019

AIC is pleased to announce that the new FEMAS 2019 Standard has been published and is available to download here . Auditing to the new Standard will begin on 1st May, with all requirements applicable from that date.

After consultation with its veterinary committee, and based on the latest tests conducted by the Animal Health Trust, the British Horseracing Authority’s Chief Regulatory Officer, Brant Dunshea, confirmed last night that racing could resume, but only with strict biosecurity controls in place.
