AIC appoints Catherine Barrett as Sector Manager

Catherine Barrett has been appointed to the newly-created post of Sector Manager with the Agricultural Industries Confederation, with a particular focus on the Grain and Oilseed, as well as the Seed sectors.
Catherine, a graduate of the University of Bristol holds a Masters degree in Agronomy from the University of Warwick and is a Member of the BASIS Professional Register. Her career to date has included working as a researcher in the UK parliament as well as in DG Agri in Brussels. Most recently she has been working as a Commercial Technical Adviser in the south east of England for Bayer CropScience.
Welcoming Catherine to AIC, Chief Executive David Caffall said: "Catherine brings an unusual combination of understanding the worlds of politics and crop production - an ideal skill set for a trade body. Her appointment reflects the increased workload that AIC faces as negotiations for Brexit intensify."
