AIC Comment On EFSA Findings On Neonicotinoids: 28 February 2018
The Agricultural Industries Confederation has noted the conclusions reached by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) on the risk of granular and seed treatments of three neonicotinoids clothianidin, imidacloprid and thiamethoxam, to bees.
AIC appoints James McCulloch to head up Feed Sector: 17 January 2018
James McCulloch, who has extensive experience in the livestock feed industry and lobbying, has joined the Agricultural Industries Confederation as Head of Feed Sector taking over from George Perrott.
NEW TASCC Codes of Practice issued: 15 January 2018
New Codes of Practice for the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC) have been published on the Agricultural Industries Confederation's website ahead of the codes coming into force on 1 February 2018.
Robert Sheasby, currently NFU Regional Director for East Anglia, has been appointed to become Chief Executive of the leading agri-supply trade association AIC.

The Agricultural Industries Confederation, which represents the majority of businesses distributing plant protection products (PPP) in the UK, welcomes the renewal of approval of glyphosate at the Appeal Committee on 27th November.
AIC appoints Catherine Barrett as Sector Manager: 27 June 2017
Catherine Barrett has been appointed to the newly-created post of Sector Manager with the Agricultural Industries Confederation, with a particular focus on the Grain and Oilseed, as well as the Seed sectors.
Feed businesses in Northern Ireland who participate in and comply with the feed assurance schemes – FEMAS, TASCC and UFAS – can look forward to fewer inspections and less sampling as the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs implements the concept of ‘Earned Recognition’.
This year, Agribusiness, the annual event for the UK agrisupply industry, takes the theme of 'Taking a lead in Agri-Food Policy post Brexit' with a strong line-up of speakers to lead the Brexit discussion in the area of agribusiness, agriculture and food. The event takes place at the East of England Showground on 8 November 2017.
