AIC is the Scheme Manager of UFAS, TASCC, FEMAS & FIAS providing assurance in the feed, food and fertiliser supply chains. The schemes were developed to help prevent major feed and food safety scares and ensure fertiliser security and also in response to consumer, industry, governments and stakeholder requirements.

UFAS: covers the production, merchanting and haulage of compound feeds and feed materials to farms. It embraces all applicable national and EU legislation and HACCP

TASCC: address's the handling of grains, pulses and animal feed materials in the supply chain beyond the farm gate, whether the destination is storage, feed, food, seeds or other uses

FEMAS: covers the supply of feed materials from the vast array of supply sources to their point of use

FIAS: covers the areas of fertiliser assurance, security and traceability in the fertiliser industry supply chain.

Investment and strategy for producers and investors


Farming Futures aims to communicate practical messages to farm both directly and via advisors to help advance understanding of the impacts, opportunities and risks of climate change.  The project is a partnership between Forum for the Future, CLA, NFU, AIC, Defra, and all of the levy boards via the Applied Research Forum.
