Here's what your subscription actually pays for...

While our industry faces ever more complex issues demanding a long-term investment of time and expertise, the day to day matters do not go away.Take the feed sector, for example. For several years we have been engaged with governments on the challenges of zero tolerance on non-authorised GM traits which threaten the viability of our feed, livestock and meat processing industries.Yet, when the snow fell heavily in December 2010 we had to divert resources and act swiftly to gain temporary suspension of rules on drivers' hours to ensure mills kept working and deliveries were made. The development of a balanced strategy means we keep a focus on the major issues that are really important to the long term profitability of the agricultural supply industry and your business.Yet we ensure we have the capacity to react to short-term issues as they arise. In common with all AIC's activities, the strategic objectives have been based on input from members and with the focus firmly on delivering value to our membership. The latest edition of Adding Value describes a small selection of the activities and benefits you have received. I trust you enjoy looking through our work on your behalf.

David Caffall Chief Executive, AIC
