The AIC membership of around 300 companies, representing UK agricultural inputs of approx. £6.5billion out of the £9 billion total, form an integral link of a feed and food chain that delivers some £100 billion of food and renewable goods to UK consumers. In addition, with more than 2,000 trade assurance members we play a significant role in food safety and security.
AIC acts as a true confederation representing five key sectors: crop protection distribution; agronomy; fertiliser manufacture and supply; feed manufacture and supply; grain merchant; and seed merchants. However, as a single organisation, AIC ensures a united and coordinated view.
To fulfil its objectives, AIC actively engages with the many other organisations involved along the food chain to build knowledge, achieve consensus and promote a sustainable UK agricultural industry. |
