About Trade Assurance

Our Objectives
The aim of the trade assurance schemes : UFAS, TASCC, FEMAS and FIAS is to provide participant companies with a level of assurance that meets feed and food safety requirements. This is achieved by the following objectives :

  • Management by AIC internal committees
  • Communication with scheme participants
  • Management of certification and audit bodies
  • Dialogue with appropriate Government and Stakeholders

Benefits
The AIC provides a united voice for the sector which is represented at both UK and European Government.  Our work and commitment in the sector provides the following key benefits to our members:

  • providing due diligence to meet feed and food legislative requirements
  • meeting customer requirements in the UK and Internationally
  • adding value to participating companies
  • ensuring that uniform standards are applied across the industry
  • offering technical support
