WTO Talks Stumble
An early WTO agreement seems unlikely following the failure of the latest talks to achieve progress on such issues as restrictions on market access.

Sustainable Use of Pesticides Vote not in Favour of Agricultural Industry
There is little to favour industry in the measures proposed by the Environment Committee on the sustainable use of pesticides.  Further information: CP07-018

Malathion Excluded from Annex 1
Following the decision of the EU Commission to exclude malathion from Annex 1, the sale and supply of products containing malathion must end on 6th December 2007, whilst the last date for storage on farm is 6th December 2008.  Further information: CP07-017

Mycotoxins Information Service to be Repeated
AIC and nabim have again agreed to run their joint data information service, collating mycotoxin results from individual members.  Further information: GM07-017

Maize Intervention Quota Update
Maize intervention is to be capped at 1.5 million tonnes for the 2007/08 marketing year and 700,000 tonnes for the following year, and will be split into two periods.
